Space Traveler: Interplanetary Sounds

Enjoy a journey into space with interplanetary sounds. This mix contains funk, soul, jazz, folk and cosmic fusion. One of the tracks is by the Texas-born singer-songwriter Shawn Phillips, described as "The best kept secret in the music business” (by the late rock impresario Bill Graham). I selected the massive long cut ‘I Don’t Want To Leave You, I Just Came To Say Good-Bye, featuring Herbie Hancock’s Headhunters: Mike Clark, Bill Summers and Paul Jackson. The track is on his 1977 album 'Spaced', a real jazz-fusion holy grail.
