With the passing of Grammy award winning record producer Tommy LiPuma, the music world has lost a genius. LiPuma’s productions have resulted in more than 75 million albums sold (with 35 of these certified gold or platinum), 33 Grammy nominations, and five Grammy wins. George Benson, Michael Franks, Randy Crawford, Deodato, Al Jarreau, Miles Davis, Barbra Streisand and Sir Paul McCartney are but a few of the artists whom he produced during his career. LiPuma's style was different from most producers. He chose to be in the studio with the artists, with just a headset and his sheet music, following along as the magic was created. This Tribute Mix contains a collection of some of my favorite tracks produced by Tommy LiPuma.
